Lisel Ashlock is a freelance illustrator living and working in Brooklyn. Living in the dense city of New York she executes each project with a sensitivity and celebration of the natural world, reaching to memories of growing up in the hills of California. She received her MFA from School of Visual Arts in 2009.

Lisel has received several illustration awards and accolades and her work can be seen in various national publications, books & advertising projects, and teaches illustration in the Illustration Residency Program at the School of Visual Arts in New York
